can't use credit card anymore

Pay pal wont let me pay for things with my credit card anymore. The card is verified but when I try to make it primary under the credit cards section, I get an error message saying error message saying "We are unable to process your request at this time. Please try again later.". This has been going on for over 2 weeks and I had to start sending payment from my bank account which costs m money and takes over a week to clear. I've called pay-pal customer service about 40,  no one has any idea. They transfer me to supervisors and technical support who acknowledge it is a bug on there website and then they say they will call me back with a solution. I NEVER recieve and call-backs and the problem is still not resolved. 

I've NEVER had a wrose customer service experience that I have with pay pal. I've known they had a bad reputation from user commenst on the web, but I never realized it was this bad. I guess it's only a matter of time until someone else comes along...

Hi there Robertolr,

I can only imagine how frustrating this must be for you. I am unable to see your PayPal account so I can't advise exactly what is happening on your PayPal account.

If you have already tried contacting our customer services team, it more then likely has already been passed on internally to our technical team so that they can investigate it further on your behalf. If you were advised that you will receive a call back from us, it could be the case that you haven't been called back yet because the issue is still being investigated on our side.

Thanks for your response. It has now been over two weeks with this issue and it is still unresolved. No, I still haven't recieved a call back which according to you means that they are still working on the issue. Two weeks is quite a long time to be "working on the issue", don't you think? Are there a bunch of high school kids working on the problem? Wow...great way to run a company.

 Re: can't use credit card anymore - I know its years since this was posted but since yesterday I`v e had the same problem. My Visa car I`ve been using for years now has suddenly disappeared as my payment method and each time I try to re-register it I get the same bloomin`message saying I can`t pay for anything using my card. What`s going on Paypal?

Lately when making purchased the money has been taken from my debit card rather than my credit card.  I would prefer to use my credit card for large purchases.  I am a frequent buyer on ebay and find this problem very annoying.  Have tried to make credit card my primary card but to no avail.

This may sound mean but I am glad that I am not the only one suffering this problem.  Maybe paypal will resolve it for us.
