Hi guys,
More then likely, the reason why you both are unable to use the selected cards when you are trying to make your payments is due to your bank/credit card company refusing the transactions.
You should try checking the information associated with your cards is correct before trying to send your payments again.
Here’s how to change your credit card or debit card information:
- Log in to your PayPal account.
- Click ‘Profile’ near the top of the page.
- Under ‘Financial Information,’ click ‘Credit/Debit Cards.’
- Click ‘Edit’ next to the card you want to change.
- Update your information.
- Enter your card security code.
- Click ‘Save.’
Hopefully, this should assist your payments in going through if there is some missing information on your card. If everything looks to be fine, try to send the payment again. If it is refused again, you should then try to give your bank a quick call in order to see if they are refusing the payment attempts. If they are unable to see any issues with the card, you should then try and contact PayPal directly by clicking the 'Contact Us' link located at the bottom of every PayPal webpage.
I hope this information helps,
David

I've been having this problem at checkout for several days despite always paying via credit card successfully. I went to my profile where it now states my cards are registered to a different address! Help?!

Hey there knotty63,
You can edit the billing address for your credit or debit card, just follow these steps:
- Go to www.paypal.co.uk and log in to your account.
- Click ‘Profile’ near the top of the page.
- Click ‘Postal Address’ under ‘Account Information.’
- Click ‘Edit’ next to the address you want to change.
- Enter your information and click ‘Save.’
Once the information you have entered on your PayPal account matches the information your card company have for you, your payments should send as normal.
I hope this helps.

Hi there jollyjay,
If your credit or debit card billing address is not exactly what you have registered with your bank, your bank may refuse our request to debit funds towards a purchase that you are making through your account.
What you would need to do is go to the 'Profile' section of your PayPal account. From here, you can then click the 'Credit/Debit Cards' option in order to check the expiry date and billing address that is registered on your account for your card.
I hope this information helps,
David.
