Adding funds from a virtual Visa card.

Hi,

I have a challenge I hope someone can help me with. I have received a virtual Visa payment from an online website, which I would like to use to top-up my Paypal account to spend on Ebay. I have registered and confirmed (via the PIN) the card with PP, but when I click on the 'Add Money' link on the PP summary page, the only options offered are using my bank account. I can't see any other options for adding funds (e.g. via 'wallet').

Can anyone help and advise me how to tranfer money from a virtual Visa card into Paypal so I can spend it please?

Many thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

If you have successfully added your card and paypal accepted it (as they don't accept all virtual cards) then you should be able to just spend it.

Normally with a card you click on ''change'' during the payment process and select any card you have added to your paypal account to fund the payment.

You can't ''add funds'' to a paypal account from a card in the UK only from a linked bank account.

Thanks for that advice Kernowlass - the card has been accepted by Paypal, so at least it's genuine. I would quite like to use the whole amount of cash on the card - so another question arises: can I use two payment methods on a single transaction? I.e. if I purchase goods more than the amount I have on this virtual visa card, can I use the full value of the card and empty it, and pay the balance from the usual Paypal bank account transfer method?

If not I am faced with the prospect of losing a few pounds, which will be the remainder from any purchases for less than the amount on the card, which I would like to avoid if possible.

I suspect the answer won't please me!

Again, many thanks in advance for any advice.
