Any other way of withdrawing funds

Hi all,

I'm sure this is a question asked often, but I can't really find any outright answers, so I thought I would ask as suddenly, this has become quite important to me: is there any other way of getting access to funds without transferring to a bank account?

I ask this because I've recently needed to start using a prepaid mastercard to manage funds and would dearly love to be able to operate paypal with it - I don't want my ebay selling to have to go into my bank account.  I can transfer funds to the prepaid card using BACS, but Paypal doesn't allow me to enter in enough information to add the card as a bank account (I need to add a specific reference for the funds to reach me) - could this be sorted by a Paypal rep or am I out of luck completely?  I could add funds using a cheque, but (in the UK at least) this doesn't seem to be an option - again, could this be sorted by a rep, manually?

Ideally, I would have gotten a Paypal topup card but they stopped issuing them literally the week after I needed to get my prepaird card - incidentally, does anyone know why they stopped issuing them?  Would they issue one if I asked nocely or is the product withdrawn from the market completely?

Look forward to hearing some feedback, especially from anyone who's managed to use a prepaid card on Paypal.

The only way to withdraw funds is with a prepaid PayPal top up card which are no longer available, or via an attached bank account.

Keep an eye on the the Top Up card website for future updates as there has been a communication sent out today  to anyone with the card about the ownership changing in March 2011.  I would guess that we may start accepting new applications around then as well (although nothing of this sort has been confirmed to me).

Prepaid cards can be used for making payments in the UK but you're correct in saying that you can't use them to withdraw funds. The cheque feature isn't available in the UK as of yet but if it goes well in the USA it would make sense that we roll it out here as well.

To be honest, I don't really see a solution to your problem at this moment in time, if you want to withdraw funds from a UK PayPal account you need to have a UK (or US) bank account to withdraw them to. In addition a bank account is a requirement for verification.
