Closed my bank account, withdrawl from bank still processing

I recently had an issue with paypal when I purchased something. It didn't tell me that it was going to draw funds automatically from my bank account, and the listing said to put more money into my paypal account. I then made a request for 50 dollars to be taken from my account to paypal. This bounced because I didn't think the first charge authorized when it did.
I cleared it all up with the bank, paid the NSF fee (ugh), and then closed my account to prevent paypal from re-attempting to withdrawl again and charging me another NSF fee to my bank.
Thing is, paypal doesn't seem to realize I have insufficient funds, so it kept charging repeatedly. It cost me a lot of money. I cleared all that up thankfully, but I can't afford any more payments. Problem is, the deposit to paypal for 50 dollars is still processing according to my account. I don't *OWE* any money, it's just the request for 50 dollars to be withdrawn from my bank. The account is now closed so there's nothing to charge.
Is paypal going to ever realize that there's no account and reject the transfer? Also, is paypal going to surprise me with some fee for that? Their support can't seem to do anything, nor can the bank. I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place. I'm a poor student, and I lost a lot of my food money for this month. I'm still alright, but I absolutely cannot afford to spend another dime.
Please help, thank you.
PS; I want to close this account as soon as possible.
