My account suddenly has zero balance

My account had some money in it, not much but it was a handful that I have acquired through the hard work of selling my artwork. I had plans in my mind to invest that small amount to create a steady revenue. 

 

As someone made a purchase to my shop I logged in to transfer that money to my bank account. To my surprise my balance is zero and the interface of the site has changed. I am quite confused to this, I mean I did change my card and my security question but I don't think that will influence in some sort for my balance to suddenly have zero. Does anyone else have this problem? Can somebody reach out to me? Thank you in advance.

Have you bought anything and paid for it via paypal since the payments should have gone in??

The reason i ask is that if you have funds in your paypal balance and then buy something then paypal will always take from those funds (as that is now the default funding source), rather than from your normal funding source eg bank account or card.

To check go and click on the word "details" next to any recent paypal buying transaction and see if they were funded from your paypal balance ie buyers payments rather than your normal funding source.

I haven't bought nothing with my PayPal since the longest time, but money has been entering into my account

Also, the history of my payments, transfers, etc. has disappeared. It says the following: "We didn’t find any payments during the selected period. Want to try again with different dates?". I changed the dates and it still doesn't appear anything. 30 minutes before writing my initial post I received a payment. I proceed to check my balance and it was $0.00 and still that payment doesn't appear anywhere. I tried to link my bank again (as it appears I am not linked to a bank with this new sudden change) and it said that it is already linked into another account. What is the meaning of that? If somebody hijacked my account at least I could see the history of the transfers but not even that. Maybe it is something temporary. Don't know how to fix it.

Sounds very odd, think your best bet is to give customer services a call and see if they can investigate this for you.

 

Click on the words "Help / Contact" at the bottom of paypals pages and use the phone option in the blue band at the top. Log in and get the code.

When you get through don't select any options just hang on till you get transfered to an agent.

In the UK its free from any landline phone.
