Paypal wont recognize my Lloyds Bank sort code so i can't add my bank account to withdraw my money

Paypal wont recognize my Lloyds Bank sort code 30-44-44 - it's a genuine sort code and the bank have confirmed it's genuine, it's on my bank statements and my cheque book but paypal keep saying it's incorrect! I have phoned Paypal customer support and they were no help at all. How can I get this sorted?

Welcome to the community forum. 

 

I am sorry you are having difficulty entering your account. 

 

If your bank are saying that the code is correct that should be enough. Make sure though that you are entering the numbers only without the dashes between as this will not be accepted. 

 

I hope you were able to get this sorted.

I phoned PayPal last week and after half an hour on the phone they confirmed that the system wont accept my sort code (I KNOW!) and I was told I would be sent a link before the end of the day to upload proof of my sort code (bank statement) however I am STILL waiting. They wouldn't give me an email address to send it to so I guess I will have to waste my time again and make yet another phone call.

This situation has been going on for months and is driving me mad now - Paypal obviously doesn't want my business so I will withdraw the money by sending it to my personal Paypal account and look at alternative payment solutions for my website customers.

I’m very sorry to hear about the issue and the bad experience you had.

 

To upload documents please follow the link: www.paypal.co.uk/uploadstatement

 

If you will have any difficulties with uploading documents via link you can also use the name change option:

 

Log in to your account.

Click Profile near the top of the page.

In the 'Name' section, click Change.

Select the legal name change and click Continue.

Follow the on-screen instructions to upload and send files.

 

Once you will upload both documents, please let the Customer Support know via phone or Social Media. Thank you for your cooperation.

 

I understand this situation can be inconvenient and I hope this will be resolved for you soon.
