Setting up Direct debit

Hi, How long does it take to recieve to the two random amounts I need to set up my bank account? I have now waited 4 working days.

Im having the same issue with deposits not sent

i asked paypal who replied with this

D. How do I confirm my bank account?

For security purposes or as part of our verification process, you
may be asked to add a bank account to your PayPal account and confirm
you own this bank account.

1. Go to www.paypal.co.uk and log in to your account.
2. Click 'Profile' near the top of the page.
3. Click the 'Bank Accounts' link in the 'Financial
Information' column. (Don’t see this step? Follow the alternative set of
instructions below.)
4. Select the bank account you wish to confirm and click
'Confirm'.
5. Click the 'Set up Direct Debit' button.
6. The next page will display your bank details. Enter the
full address of your bank account then click 'Submit'.

i assume from this that until you do the direct debit they dont send the 2 small deposits

i am NOT giving paypal or anyone else direct debit access to my account ever

so once i have withdrawn my money from paypal which seems to work albeit slow as **bleep**

i will cancel paypal

they are very suspect in my eyes now

My apologies i missed the crucial bit from the email which to me suggests they dont send the deposits til after you do the DD step

3. Click 'My money'.
4. In the Bank accounts section click 'Update'.
5. Click 'Confirm' next to the bank account you want to
confirm.
6. Click the 'Set up Direct Debit' button.
7. The next page will display your bank details. Enter the
full address of your bank account, then click 'Submit'.

Once you've clicked 'Submit', we'll send two random deposits (both
between 1p and 99p) to your bank account. These deposits are at our
expense and you'll find them on your online bank statement within two to
three working days, or on your next paper statement (Bank holidays and
weekends are not included).

Pay Pal says it adds 2 smal amounts to my account and I use those numbers as the code to confirm my direct debit has been set up. The 2 small amounts were supposed to have been added on February 16th, I checked my statement today and they haven't been added to my account.
