Transferring funds from PayPal to bank account

I was told that my funds from my PayPal account would take 24 hours to transfer to my bank account, and here it is the third day, 72 hours. I tried calling only to find out that they're closed on the weekends. Now I'm worried that I have to wait 3 BUSINESS days in order to receive MY money. I'm starting to think PayPal is some type of scam. This will be the last time I use this method. Western Union is so much more convenient and faster.
