Where do I find the customer reference/ID?

I can see that several people over time have been asking the same question and yet it still has not been answered. As with my experience with paypal, they are so poor in so many departments!!!!!!!!

Well a please would be nice...here you go.

click on add funds on your my account page then click continue on the left hand side section that says you move funds from your bank account. the customer ref number can be found in there

I’ve arrived here with the same query that everyone else in the "customer Reference" threads has had.  It would be great for future forum users to get a definitive answer to this.

My Question(s):

1). Is the previous response referring to a box of text informing the user that it is important to provide this info info to their bank and that ends with the words "See Example" , followed by 4 data fields depicted in a different colour and font?

2). Is this last field value actually MY customer reference (and NOT the EXAMPLE)?
