This is ridiculous. I'm fully verified, none of my details have changed. For years I've used the same Paypal account, this Paypal account, for YEARS - fully verified.
It's been 2 days now, and don't give me that "takes 72 hours" **bleep** because my bank uses the faster payments process and withdrawls/payments & transfers are almost instantaneous, it never takes longer than 2 minutes nevermind "72 hours".
I don't understand why Paypal is persecuting me and holding my own money hostage but where I come from it's called theft.
I've tried contacting Paypal just to be deliberately ignored just to annoy me further.
I'm going to close my account and this is the last time I'll ever use Paypal. How can I trust a company that will steal and withhold my own money from me. I can't work like this. What's the point in using something to keep my transactions safe only to have it stolen and held hostage by the same service that's supposed to stop this kind of thing from happening.

It has nothing to do with your bank > it does not get sent to your bank until marked completed.
The 72 hour hold is a random security check and we all get them from time to time, verified or not.
Tends to happen if you withdraw funds immediately your buyer has paid or if you withdraw at a weekend.
Since changing to monthly withdrawals I have not had the hold.....yet.

Been 74 hours now.
Going to go call them and give them a piece of my mind then request account closure. **bleep** the **bleep** off.

Yes if its over 72 hours then ring >>
Click on the words "Contact us" at the bottom of paypal pages > click on the "call us" option on the left (fees "may" apply so check the cost with your phone tariff first, as you sometimes have to wait a while to connect).
When you get through don't select any options just hang on till you get transfered to an agent.
OR have you considered contacting Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter?
It's: https://www.facebook.com/PayPalUK and @AskPayPal for Twitter.

Hmm It has happened to me, even with automatic withdrawls of the first of the month!
