I sold a violin once on Ebay and the buyer never paid ( he had a history of bidding on items but not paying and yet his feedback was 100% positive )
I was charged for selling it twice even though i received the money only once. The first " sale " also contributed to my monthly limit and i couldn't do anything about it.
Ebay are a complete nightmare to deal with and so little is done about it, simply because there's no real regulatory process, no independent company keeping them in check.

PLEASE BE AWARE
Ebay charge you for selling items whether you make a profit or not, Then Paypal charge you Too.
It to be honest feels like you have been ripped off...
I gave them a call which after getting passed about finally got to someone in INDIA, which obviously means they have ZERO idea of whats going on and to be quite frank, ' they dont give a **bleep** ' and you wont in 99% of the time get your money back, because signing up with Ebay and Paypal lets them take what they like out of your account with nothing you can do about it attitude.
SO again PLEASE BE AWARE. There is nothing you can do.
just Google or search the net for 'Ebay and Paypal RIP OFF'
you'll be amazed how many complaints there are.
very unhappy.

Of course they do ....you are the one listing the item and you should start the auction at the least you think would get you a profit.
I do a search on completed items to give me an idea of what price a similar item i want to list is likely to make.
Ebay / paypal are not a rip off > its just they don't hold your hand if you are daft enough not to research the item you are selling and lose out.
You pay Ebay to ADVERTISE your item and you pay a % of the selling price.
You pay PAYPAL to receive card funded payments from buyers.
Sounds as though selling is not for you, leave it to those of us that understand how it works.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.

Hi guys,
If you can see a payment for eBay Europe Sarl on your accounts, you should contact eBay directly in order to determine what the payment was for. As previously advised on this thread, these payments are for eBay fees.
You can contact eBay directly via Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/eBay.co.uk or through Twitter on @AskeBay and they will be able to check this out for you.
Please let us know how it goes.
David.
