still waiting for my money to go into my account

it has now been 57 hrs an im still waiting on my bank transfer to go from pending to completed an then reach my account ..altho states can take UPTO 72 hrs ..im guessing it TAKES the full 72 hrs ..can someone please advise me as to why they have got this problem all ov a sudden transferring into bank accounts ..its frustrating that u sell something ..buyer pays immediatley ..and then us the sellers have to wait 3 days to get our hands on OUR MONEY .....and does it actually take 72 hrs to go to completed ..also how long after does it take to reach the bank account ...???

Yes it normally clears on the 72 hours if you do have to wait but i think this is what happens >>>

When a buyer pays you it is not "instant" paypal credit you then start the process of uploading the funds from the buyers payment source...........as a buyer i have paid for stuff and it has arrived BEFORE the payment left my bank account.

So if you try and withdraw those funds straight away I think paypal don't process it UNTIL that payment clears from the buyers funding source.

Reason i think this?? When i transfered a largish payment from a buyer immediately i had the 72 hour hold. But as most payments are not large I leave them in for a couple of weeks and transfer out in one lump sum and in that case the payments nearly always clear in 2 hours to my bank account.

So  basically if you have kept up !! they make you wait for your money because it has not cleared from the buyers account yet and the money you are trying to withdraw is still theres.

thx ever so much for ur reply that makes perfect sense to me ..finally have some answers lol ..iv contacted paypal an just been told alot of diff stories ..2 hrs / 24 hrs //3 hrs ..72 hrs ..pls wait an keep checking ur account bla bla ...so once 72 hrs have passed it should show complete on my paypal ? after that how long does it take to reach my bank account any idea ?

Well on the 2 occasions i have had to wait it hit my bank account more or less on the 72 hours. If it does can you come back and confirm if it does complete then?

My explanation is only a "theory" but paypal would never confirm it as i don't think they would want folks to know that is what they do....they prefer the "random security check" approach.!!
