Can I pay for an item now and add funds later?

I have just bought an item that will take my account overdrawn until the money arrives from my funds transfer.  Can this be done or must I have the money in my account first?  Will there be charges if I go overdrawn for 5-7 days?

We’ll send you an email letting you know that the bank account you used for your Instant Transfer has insufficient funds. Although we don’t charge a fee for insufficient funds, your bank might. Bank fees are not refunded through PayPal.

We’ll make a second attempt to request funds from your bank account. If funds still aren’t available, we’ll charge one or more of your backup funding sources that include an additional bank account and a debit card or credit card.

Welcome to our Community 

I notice you never received a response to this post from one of our other members.

Please try not to worry. PayPal does not charge you any fees if your account goes negative.

However, I'm afraid you won't really be able to use your account to it's fullest ability until the balance has been cleared.
