Add Tracking Number to item already posted - simple answer please!

I've noticed most answers on this forum involve claims etc. All I want to do is add my Post Office tracking numbers to items I've already posted.

 

I know there's an option to add tracking info as I'm actually purchasing the label, but I don't get the tracking number until i take it to the post office. Then when I try to add it after the event there's no option.

 

It's for the benefit of my customers, so they can see exactly where their package is.

 

Not all of these are sold via Ebay, so a solution that is completely within PayPal would be much appreciated.

 

Considering 'Tracking' is talked about so much within PayPal you'd think it'd be much simpler to implement!

(Oh, and I asked 'Louise' but was told to click the link in my purchase confirmation email to add tracking info and there isn't one. Clicking on the transaction detail link doesn't bring one up either. She's not very well informed.)

Hi there,

 

The blow can be used for eBay and non eBay transactions. I use it all the time on my own account Smiley Happy

 

Here’s how to add your tracking information to the transaction:

  1. Go to www.paypal.co.uk and log in to your account.
  2. Click ‘History’ near the top of the page.
  3. Find the relevant transaction.
  4. Click ‘Details.’
  5. Click ‘Add Tracking Info’ under ‘Postage’ near the bottom of the page.
  6. Complete the required information on the ‘Enter Tracking Information and Order Status’ page.
  7. Click ‘Save.’

After you click ‘Save,’ the buyer receives an email that you entered the tracking information for this transaction. The email includes the tracking number, order status, and postal company.

thanks for the response, but that isn't working for me.

 

history > (transaction) details > 

 

the only option under postage at the bottom is 'delete label'. i've just check that for several transactions that were recorded delivery and its the same on all of them.
