Bank transfer taking a ridiculous amount of time

Hi all, I'm looking for a bit of help regarding bank transfers to my paypal account.
On the monday 10th December I sent £50 from my bank account to my paypal account, this would normally have taken 3 or 4 days max, certainly would have been in before the weekend. But here I am a week later and still waiting, which I'm really struggling to understand. How long does it take to move some numbers around?
i did another transfer the next day of £150, and another on friday there of £50, neither of which are in yet either. My bank statement confirms that the money left the account almost instantly, so whats happening to it? Is it being counted in pennies by a half blind paraplegic with dyspraxia? Sort it out paypal.

So I emailed Paypal with the same message, all I got in response was links to their FAQ page. Neither helpful nor relevant. If I'm emailing you I've oviously exhausted all possible alternatives and am now looking for a human response, not some pre-recorded message.
I've been reading that when a bank transfer takes this long it's often because paypal are sitting on the money and sucking as much interest out as possible before releasing the funds to you, is this true? The email stated "If these don't help you, please reply to this email with as much information as possible." I couldn't possibly have given them any more information, which makes me think they didn't even read the email
"Judging by the FAQ's you reffered me to I'm not convinced anyone actually read my email so I'm just going to send the same thing again. I already laid out all possible details and am starting to lose patience. £250 of my money is floating around your servers just now and there's not an FAQ in the world that can explain why. If you can't provide a real human response I will have to take more severe action."
I sent this 3 hours ago, still awaiting a response. I really hope I'm not going to have to phone up and complain.

Hi friedbrains,
Let me firstly say that as this is a community forum we can not review your PayPal account or provided specific response. We are happy to provide general information.
If you have attempted to add funds to your PayPal account and they have not been added then you will need to request that a trace be initiated for these funds. I would recommend that you contact us by phone so we can file a request for you to trace the funds. Once the funds have been located they will be added to your PayPal balance. If the details for the adding of funds do not match what’s on your PayPal account then the funds will be (or may have already been) returned back to your bank.
Thanks for posting
Paula

Thanks Paula. Could you possibly give me that number? I know its not in paypals policy to make it easy to contact an actual person who works for them instead of a machine, but I'm close to marching to your offices and taking the hard cash straight out your pockets. This is absolutely ridiculous.

Forgot to say I have checked my bank every day to see if it has been returned. Just in case it was indeed my fault for giving the wrong information or the transfer failed for whatever reason, but it's not there. I'll be contacting my bank in the morning and make them aware of the situation. I think I've given Paypal more than enough time and chance to sort it out.

Very easy to get the number.
Just go to "contact us" bottom of every paypal pages and use the call us option.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.

What, are you not allowed to tell me yourself or something? For god's sake, It's like Gaddaffi himself wrote your customer service policy.

That scares the HELL out of me as I just accidentally sent 2 transactions in the amount of $425.00 and was told that one of them could not be cancelled. They BOTH had to go through the system and that I had to wait 3-5 days to get one of the $425.00 transaction amounts returned to my PayPal account and subsequently, back into my bank account. "Glenn, operator #40299" told me that "these refund situations happen all the time" and "they have no other way to deal with them". What a lovely thing to constantly be depriving your customers of their money. What hideous service, seriously! He refused to share with me when accounts were updated and also refused to give me a direct dial number of someone willing to check on my account for me until the issue was resolved. Clearly this company does NOT put the customer first. What do expect for people who so evidently make minimum wage?

To friedbrains......
Why the heck should I take the trouble to find the phone number for you????
I was in the middle of watching "Africa" on tv when i decided to log in after putting a bid on an item on ebay and so answered your post.
You should be grateful I took the time to inform you and as for my policies try telling paypal that not me..
