How do I reinstate my direct debit?

I accidentally cancelled my PayPal direct debit last week. I carried on making purchases as normal, until today when it told me to go to PayPal.com, when I logged in I was in negative balance. I have tried to credit the account but it failed, an my bank can't reinstate direct debits anymore. From what I can see, users are told to remove the account, re-add it, then re-authorise it before they can resolve this. So my problem, I have tried to remove the account and I can't when in negative balance!! And I can't use the card (by direct debit on account only). So surely there is a way to set up a new dd with PayPal rather than having delete everything (even if it let me!) Any suggestions?? Kind regards Nathan

Sounds like you’re caught in a loop there Baddabean. I could only advise that you contact PayPal directly and request that the bank be removed so as to allow you to re-add and confirm the bank again.  Hope that helps

This has happened to me. But, you try to get through to a real person to rectify this. Bloody impossible.
