Issue when trying to deposit into William Hill.

Hi there, wonder if anyone could throw any light on this please. I use William Hill online site and have been having problems recently when trying to deposit money into my W.Hill account.

When i'm on the william hill site, i select paypal to deposit money into my W.Hill account, it then redirects me to the login screen for paypal, I enter my login details and when ive done that it goes to the next screen and says that it is going to use my backup credit card to deposit money into william hill. But i have logged into my paypal and my lloyds bank account is confirmed and setup as primary payment method.

When i'm on the paypal screen that ive been sent to from william hill, i try to select 'edit payment method', and on the next screen my bank account is showng above the credit card but it is greyed out and says 'echeques' next to it.

I first noticed this about a month ago after i upgraded my bank account, but i contacted paypal who deleted my bank account off paypal and i had to re-set it all up again (waiting for the 2 random payments again). I have used my paypal to make other purchases and had no problem, the money is taken from my bank account as it should be. William Hill say its a paypal issue. Just wondered if anyone has had similar experience or knows about this?!

Cheers, Stuart.

Hi there rowls,

Is your card due to expire? If so this may be the reason the Instant Bank Transfer is not available for you. Your back up funding source needs to be up to date for you to use an Instant Bank Transfer.

Thanks for your reply, my back up funding card is valid until 2013. I'm puzzled as to why it happens as i have purchased through ebay recently and had no issues, the money just came straight out my bank account!
