PayPal Not Applying Charity Rate

Hi,

I spent at least a month in contact with PayPal getting our account set up on the charity rate.  Despite following the instructions on www.paypal.co.uk/charity to the letter, I was constantly having to send different items of information and evidence which I believe should have been listed on the charity page in the first place.  I thought I had this sorted when the accout was returned to a regular standing on 19th Jan 2011.

Now we've started selling through eBay, the fees we are being charged are still at the 3.4%+20p rate.  Also, the details on our profile page have totally changed and don't mention that we are a charity.

Have any other charities had the same problem, and have they been able to get the extra charges refunded to them by PayPal?

I'm experiencing the same. I can understand th elong process, but then the charity rate doesn't get applied. How do I get someone to look at this?

I have had the same problem where all the information has been sent to paypal but the rate being applied is the normal 3.4%????

Your question is exactly the one I am trying to find out the answer to! I am a volunteer of eBay account for local Scout Group.  Similarly our PayPal account took a month to set up with the required due diligence necessary.  I believe they are charging us at 3.5%. I am seeking the route to challenge this and get it refunded.  Have you had any luck yet? Regards
