Payment still pending after a week... Why?

I bought something (from zavvi) on tuesday morning (10th), and the payment is still pending. As far as I can tell, none of the situations in the payment glossary apply to me, and the "allow up to four days" given on the history page has gone over that time period. I've never had any trouble paying for anything before. The problem appears to be on the paypal end since Zavvi is saying there is a "payment problem" and nothing seems amiss with the bank.

 

Is there something I'm missing, and what can I do?

Hi there moooo566,

 

Companies like Zavvi normally take orders and not direct payments to give them time to process the transaction.

 

If this is an order and it is pending it means that Zavvi have not accepted the payment. Often, merchants wait until they are ready to send your order to complete your payment.

 

You can check your order status by going to the payment in 'History' and clicking on 'Details' next to the transaction.
