Paypal not processing payment

Hello all, i hope someone can help me. i keep getting this error message when trying to pay for an item on ebay;

 

"Your request could not be processed at this time

We were not able to process your payment.

Please check out again and try a different credit card or bank account for your PayPal payment. If you're still having problems, contact PayPal customer support.

Error code #10486"

 

i have sent an email to paypal, but seemed to have recieved a generic reply prompting me to call them on the phone, which i am not going to do due to costs. I purchased something last week and all was fine, has anyone any idea how to resolve this issue?

If you do a search of the board you will see others at varying times have had this problem and paypal don't seem to know how to sort it.

 

First try clearing your cookies etc. Then if that doesn't work try a different browser. 


Advice is voluntary.
