Says invalid debit card ..HELP!

I cannot add my debit card onto paypal, it has money , i entered everthing correctly yet it says" You have entered an invalid number or partial credit card or debit card number. Please check your entry and try again" ,any help??

Hi there Tyree,

Depending on the country your account is registered to different cards are accepted on PayPal.

You can use a Visa, MasterCard and American Express credit card to pay with PayPal. 

If you are unsure try clicking on 'Contact Us' & 'Call Us' or 'Email Us' , this way the correct customer service team can look into your account details and advise what cards you can use.

no the customer care is of no use, i have the same problem ' invalid debit card' check your details and try again" the custormer care only says that check with your bank....the bank says check with paypal. we are just beating round the bush. cant paypal find a solution to such a stupid problem and solve it amongst themselves (visa, mastercard and paypal?

I'm having the same problem with my master card. I'm trying to link my indian master card with my nepalese paypal account but I've got invalid message summary about master card. I'd tried again n again but I've got same notice on issuing my master card debit card link with my account. Now, what to do..? Please get me rid of this problem. I can't have any e-transaction coz it doesn't allow me to transact online. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for posting in our  UK Community Forum 

Although this is a forum for our UK members,  I think I can explain what's happening here.

PayPal is designed to be country specific so I'm afraid you're unable to add an Indian card to a Nepalese account.

This is why you are receiving a message saying the card is invalid you see.

If you try adding a Nepalese card to your account instead, you won't run into this problem on your end.

               Thanks for your solution though it's not going to work for me coz I can't have foreign transaction with my nepalese visa debit card.

Country like nepal, the government has forbidden the international transaction with any electron card. So in that case, how can I have card link with my nepalese account or should I have to open an indian paypal account along with indian master debit card?

Please give the way to process of it. Thankyou !

I've Mastro Debit Card which is sub Catagory of Master Card but when I try to link my card with Paypal it shows me this sentence. "You have entered an invalid or partial credit or debit card number. Please check your entry and try again." Now please tell me what I've to do now. If I get Visa Debit Card from Bank will Paypal accept Visa Debit Card or not??? Please let me know. Paypal is **bleep** Website. I have two cards, one is Master Card the other one is Discover. But none of them is linking with Paypal. I don't know what's wrong with Paypal. Every time shows me "You have entered an invalid or partial credit or debit card number. Please check your entry and try again." WTF...
