Seller wants my Paypal Email so they can send me an invoice

Hi

I am new to Paypal can someone please help me with this?

I am getting a bespoke diamond ring mount made and need to pay for it. The manufacturer is asking for my Paypal email so they can send me an invoice. Is this correct I don't want to be doing the wrong thing.

An invoice can be sent to any email address.

Hi denise999, 

All you will need to provide the manufacturer with is the email address that is associated with your PayPal account. Once they receive this they will send you a PayPal invoice. When paying for your item be sure to check that the invoice states it is for goods as if it is showing as a personal payment there will be no buyer protection offered.
