When you buy something through paypal what shows up on your debit card history?

I don't mean the history on my paypal account, but I mean the payment history on my debit card when I log into my online banking account. normally when I purchase things with my debit card it will show up just as the name of the company like if I bought a ticket from Amtrak it shows up in my history as Amtrak.

But if i purchase something through paypal, will it show what i purchased through paypal on my debit card history? Like if i purchased a lipgloss wtih paypal will it say "purchased smackers lip gloss" or will it just say "made purchase with paypal"?

It normally just says "paypal and the name/ company you bought from as per your paypal account.

It certainly does not say what you have bought.

Welcome to the community.

As kernowlass says it doesn't show what you bought, but it will show the company or if it’s on eBay it may show the sellers id/shop name.

You do get a message during payment for an item on eBay of what will show on your statement.
