I signed up for Paypal with a UK home address (I live there) but would like to use the account to pay my Canadian Visa credit card bills. When I try to add my credit card to my account, it think the card is from the UK and, since it isn't, rejects the card. I tried changing my home address to one in Canada but for some reason it defaults to the UK, making the addresses invalid. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong? Thanks!

sorry - also wanted to add that i went onto Paypal Canada but the site accepted my login, which suggests that I couldn't even have a 'Canadian account' and a 'UK account' since my information is obviously shared......????

Hi there micaelam,
The only time you can add financial information registered in Canada is to a Canadian PayPal account. It is the same with every country around the world, e.g.. Irish PayPal accounts would have to have Irish financial information.
You can have two accounts (A UK one and a Canadian one) but you would have to have two separate email addresses. I think this is why your details were accepted when you visited PayPal Canada. If you have two email addresses you should have no issues moving forward.
I hope this information helps you
Wayne
