will paypal work if i have no money in my bank account?

hi i really want to pay £7 for a tshirt and i think i have enough money for it (ar ound £12 in my bank) but due to personal reasons i dont have access to my card to see my balance. is there anyway on paypal i could see how much money is in my bank account. if iorder the tshirt and i dont have enough money for it in my bank, will paypal still take money out anyway? thanks

If you initiate a payment for £7.00GBP today and chose the option of Instant Bank Transfer, PayPal pay your seller immediately and request the funds from your bank account. It can take between 5 to 7 working days for the funds to clear from your bank to PayPal. Unfortunately, we don’t have visibility of your bank account and only find out between 5 and 7 days later if the funds will be paid to us.

If there are insufficient funds in your bank, we will be notified by your bank of a Failed Direct Debit bank transfer. If this happens, we will try to recover the amount using the backup funding source (the card on your PayPal Account). If we are unable to get them using the card, your PayPal account may be taken negative for the amount owed and we would ask you to add funds to recover the negative balance or to make a payment to our Collections team to restore your balance to zero.
