Adding Another Person's Card

I would like to add my partner's credit card to my account.  We live together at the same address, but do not share the same last name.  I can't figure out if Paypal will let me do this.

I was just told by PayPal to keep your name on the account and use the credit card account address and it should work.  All they look at is the address.  Hope this helps.

duff2set,

crashon290 is correct, you should be able to register the card.  However, I would strongly advise against doing so.

Why?  If your partner later decides to report the charges as unauthorized, or other issues arise, you could experience a limitation on the account that could become permanent for registering another individual's financial information.  Just as you wouldn't accept payments for another seller, don't make payments for another buyer.  Smiley Happy

I would say have them open their own PayPal account - it's the best route to go!

Hope this helps,

Adrian

Soulboy,

If your friend needs to make a purchase, as noted above, it's best to have them open their own account.  Using their card and making payments for them could result in some serious consequences, so we strongly advise against it.
