Credit Card Verification Refund

I was adding a credit card with my mom and paypal charged the card for verification purposes. My parents are paranoid about this kind of thing now (online payments..) and had me remove the card. Will the charge be refunded now? Will it show up on the statement?

I agree with your folks. I hate doing on line payments and only use pay pal for items I purchase on ebay. Supposedly the refund should show up on your statement but I can only say that  pay pal charged me $1.95 for a credit card verification when I was adding another account... which I was told would be refunded immediately after I supplied them with the pay pal verification code. I did this and to date haven't seen anything credited to my account.  I am now told I owe $2.00 on the account as they took the $1.95 as a debit, So, I don't know what to tell you.  They lied to me.  No way to talk to someone. No way to get into the dispute resolution page. Now my credit will probably get messed up over this $1.95 which was debited from another account, so my advice to you is to try and tread lightly. There shouldn't have to be a verfication to any accounts you already hold which are valad. A scam I say, Good luck!, and be careful buying anything on line. I can't even find a way to close my pay pal account save cutting the card and sending it to them in their payment envelope.
