Wachovia to Wells Fargo change

My bank just made the transition from Wachovia to Wells Fargo.  I'm trying to add my bank account to paypal so I can transfer money over, but when I tried to confirm my username/password, it failed.  I tried both my old wachovia account and my new Wells Fargo account, but both still failed, even though they are correct.  What can I do to add my bank account?  Thank you very much!

Welcome to the boards!

Especially if the banks are still undergoing their transition, it's quite  possible the instant verification may fail out - there's simply too many items still going on  behind the scenes.  At that point, it would be best to go ahead and use the random deposit process instead.

With random deposits, PayPal will send two small deposits, each between a penny and 0.99, to your bank account.  This part takes only  2-3 business days.  Once you know those amounts, you come back to PayPal, enter the amounts in the space provided, and you're now Verified!

Thanks!

Well my switch to Wells Fargo from Wachovia happened in August, too. My checking account will not verify using "Confirm Instantly" either my Wachovia or my Well Fargo credentials.

Come on PayPal, can you help us here? Isn't the Wachovia -> Well Fargo merger big enough to you to work something out with them so "Confirm Instantly" verificaton won't fail?

I need to pay for an item now and adding this item exceeds my pre-set spending limit. I can't wait 2-3 days for your deposits.

I am going to have to find another payment method -- not good for either of us.
