Chinese characters on English Invoice

I saw a similar message in 2017 but the thread went nowhere.

I sent a client an invoice (he and I are both in America) and Chinese characters appeared in it surrounding the English portions.

I've attached a screenshot.

The easier workaround was to send a hyperlink of the invoice as those characters didn't show on my end at least, but the problem is still something I want to prevent in the future.

Any help?

I think it has something to do with both parties' individual devices or browser cookies, rather.

I usually use this link when I assist folks from other countries and PayPal is localized in their language, to switch back to English:

PayPal Worldwide - Send and Receive International Payments 

Select "English" from the menu under the Search bar at the top, if the language setting within your PayPal account settings is already set to "English". Log out of account and then log back on if needed.

Thank you for the reply but my language was already set to "English." Any other ideas?
