Pirate Ship vs PayPal?

Hi all -
I used PayPal for all my shipping and was very happy with the ease of use. It took a while to calibrate the automated shipping charges on my web site for different zones, but I got it to a nice point. Then I noticed postage went up. Had to re-calibrate. Alot. Mentioned it to my daughter and she, very matter-of-factly, said "Pirate Ship, Dad, all online sellers use Pirate Ship". I was very much, like, what's that? So I checked it out and started comparing on every order, Pirate Ship to PayPal. Most of the time Pirate Ship saves me anywhere from 1-2 dollars on an order of around $20.00.
Has anyone else had a similar issue?

I use Pirate Ship as a backup to my Stamps.com account. It's a good service and recommend for small businesses that do not want to incur a monthly fee. Customer Service is also good.
Stamps charges a monthly fee, but it allows me to keep track of all shipments for 2 years. We need this for bookkeeping.
Very rarely use PP shipping labels.
