Hi there! I’ve been shopping online using my credit card through PayPal.
But for each payment (transaction) to be made, I have to receive a SMS message which includes a 6-digit verification code, and then input this code to check out. This is very inconvenient. Is there anything I can do to disable this feature and shop online without this kind of verification code? Thank you very much.
My situation is a bit unusual because:
- My creditcard is from a Chinese bank, not a UK bank, but it is MasterCard.
- I only shop on the UK websites such as tesco, amazon uk, nike uk, zalando uk, etc.
- Only through the miserable SMS verification code, my creditcard is able to make payment on those UK online shops.
- It is very strange that my friend who also has a creditcard from the same Chinese bank as mine, but he doesn’t need to go through the miserable SMS verification code and he can directly make any payment through PayPal on those UK online shops. But why I need to receive the SMS verification code every time T_T
Please kindly help me, any suggestion would be very much appreciated. Thanks a lot.
