Ebay buying: have to use back up credit card.

Hi gyus,

I linked my PayPal account to my Ebay account for the ease of payments.

I used to be able to choose which way I pay; either from my bank account or my credit card which is the back up method of payment.

Recently, however I found out that I can't pay with my bank account. I get a message that this means of payment is not available or not accesible I don't remember exaclty. So I have to pay with the credit card. A bit annoying.

Has anybody experienced it before? Any ways of sorting it out?

Thanks

Peter

Have you ever had a transaction fail via your bank account??

Have you ever been in negative balance on your paypal account from a failed transaction??

Have you accidently cancelled the direct debit mandate on your online banking between your bank and paypal??

Hi,

Nothing of that sort ever happened.

I have had the same account from 2006, the same bank account and the same paypal account. Always have a 1K on on my account at least. I did open some cases againt sellers and had 2 refunds, these were ther only irregular transactions.

Weird, think your best bet is to give customer services a call.

Click on the words "Contact us" at the bottom of most paypal pages or in your paypal account summary > click on the "call us" option on the left (fees "may" apply so check the cost with your phone tariff first, as you sometimes have to wait a while to connect).

When you get through don't select any options just hang on till you get transfered to an agent.

OR have you considered contacting Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter?

It's: https://www.facebook.com/PayPalUK and @AskPayPal for Twitter.
