I was wondering if anyone can help me with this. My Bank Transit (Branch) Number that has four digits. But PayPal only allows me to use five digits. I'm trying to transfer money to my paypal from my bank. I'm using TD Canada Trust. is there an other way i can transfer money to paypal without changing my bank ?
Just add a zero as the fifth digit, I believe the Canadian Banks have done this to be compatible with the US banking system.
The checks on my TD Canada Trust account have the branch number as 5 digits ending in zero , but the 4 digit branch number(without the zero) is also included just before my 7 digit account number in the MICR line.
When I configured my TD account with PayPal I successfully used the 5-digit branch number and my 7-digit account number.
