I haven't been able to use PayPal credit for any purchase so far that I've tried.

Whilst credit is on my homepage, I don't think it's properly linked to my account which is why I can't use it for anything. But trying to contact support for help is... well... frustrating.

I'd try and see if there's a problem wiith your credit that means you can't use it. According to paypal, you're supposed to be able to use it practically everywhere where they accept PayPal as a method of payment.

I had a bit of an anomaly with Paypal Credit - I was allowed to make a purchase (on Chain Reaction Cycles for info - it was ) but I was frustrated that there was no proactive information comign from Paypal regarding DD instructions.

About a week later I got an email telling em how to setyup a DD or make payments. I went on, but couldn't as my 'bank account wasn't linked'. The only option there is to 'add an account'.

I duly added the account which I already know I make payments through, and ot told me I had added this account already. No option to link this account.

In an effort to avoid breaching my cresit agreement, I have now set up 12 forward-dated payments, front loaded so I'm paying slightly more than they would ask, so that I can't be accused of not reying to resolve the issue.

I then noticed will look around on the site that, on ym summary page, my profile wasn't updated and one of the aspects is confirming my bank account. Paypal make two small deposits in your bank account and you have to then wait for them to hit and enter those transaction amounts to confirm your account.

Funnily enough, I've just got an email come through talking about my direct debit - so linking the account can ponly happen when its confirmed;

I went round the houses a bit, but make sure your bank account is "confirmed" - on the summary page, click on your profile (the thumnail photo or space where it would be) and it should bring up several icons, one of which tells you if your bank account is confirmed or still pending...)

May be coincidence but I have just received a reply (after sending a chaser message and email to directdebits@paypal) which states that the DD instruction has been sent to me bank.

I can't tell whether this is only allowed since confirming my bank this morning or in response to my message.

Therefore - send messages and chasers and confirm your account if not already; just to be on the safe side...
