You've reached your sending limit

Trying to pay I've received the following:

We're sorry you can't complete this payment with PayPal because you've reached your sending limit. You can lift your sending limit by confirming your bank account. Once you have confirmed it, we have enough information about you and are able to lift your sending limits. Learn more about sending limits.  Lift your sending limit now"

When I proceed to the next page it only lists "Receiving Limits" & as I do not sell it doesn't apply to me.

Also I'm using a credit card & my account is verified..  Where do I go from here??

Hello I'm back again with a problem... I accidently deleted my bank account then resubmitted it..entered the 4 digit number from the bank.  Now on "verified" I get

You are now a Verified PayPal user. In addition to increased security, buyers and sellers value your Verified status because it indicates you have passed PayPal security checks. Most importantly, you can now send unlimited payments with your PayPal account.

Set up bank funding...all with green tick

Link bank account    Submit Direct Debit Instruction    Confirm bank account

But still have the "You've Reached Your Sending Limit" & "Get Started" when I try to pay...

Any ideas what I should do??

Hi Wiffles,

Welcome back to the UK Community Forum and thanks for posting!

Based on the information you provided in your post, it sounds like the sending limit on your account didn’t automatically lift when you became verified. I’d recommend giving our Customer Services team a quick call or send them an email to request that they remove it for you.

I hope this helps,
Maria

I'm a buyer, not a seller - almost 9 years. Made a purchase two weeks ago following which I renewed my credit card. Made another purchase today and got the "sending limits" message. Updated the credit card renewal info - verified. Now PayPal /Ebay want my bank info. Called customer service. Need bank info - anti-money laundering requirement. PayPal has all of my person information - my purchases have always been within $500 - and being in law enforcement - economic crime - I know a little about money laundering and reporting requirements. The help line person told me to open a new PayPal account with a new email should fix the problem. Providing bank info would permit PayPal to debit my bank account instead of credit card.

I am very confused.

Our Paypal account currently displays "Your limit has been lifted" but today we received an email stating :

"You have reached a usage threshold..."

Can someone please explain why Paypal are giving this contradictory information?

Also , many thanks to Paypal for providing their service across many countries - as a result of Paypal's multi-currency payments we've been able to expand our business across several countries on the following websites (more opening soon) :

AudioBuy Australia

AudioBuy South Africa

AudioBuy Canada

AudioBuy India

AudioBuy Hong Kong

AudioBuy Singapore

AudioBuy Nederland

AudioDubai

* Note : Paypal's conversion rate differs from that of Magento's / BigCommerce's by about 2% - we are currently working on a code to remove this discrepancy as it does annoy some of our customers.
