Interesting about the fraudulent charging when people use the app connected to paypal. Has anyone experienced wallet or technical issues when trying to use the app and their paypal account has an amex credit card nominated as the primary account ?
Shell wont take responsiblity in resolving this nor will paypal. Conflicting information given out by paypal surely it should just debit the credit card ? it has only worked twice and fails after i use the app following successful usage. not a very good customer experience at all .

Yes I have tried the app numerous times but I am consistently getting a "Paypal wallet issue" and cannot use the app. Very annoying as I just stand there and keep scanning th barcode and nothing happens. I then need to walk into the shop for them to release the pump so I can use it normally. I usually just drove off and get my fuel somewhere else instead. Also have an Amex connected but also a visa debit card. Have you found a solution yet?

Interesting that someone else has this problem. My Shell account is linked to PayPal using my Amex card. Sometimes it works fine, but sometimes it comes up with "PayPal wallet issue". Pay at the cashier. But not only that, it locks the pump as the pump thinks its still waiting for authorisation. The cashier has to reset it before you can fill up. A real pain. So - PayPal, what is going on? Please come up with a constructive suggestion on how to resolve it.

I have given up now. I was only bothered when the 1million avios promoton was running. Now I rather go somewhere where the petrol is much cheaper and I can pay at the pump like Tesco.
No queues and I save 5 p a liter. I never got a rsponse from Shell nor Paypal

After using this excellent service for many weeks with no problem, I encountered it today (paypal wallet issue). As stated above, you have to wait for the guy at the till to cancel the transaction before the pump can be used, but first he suggested I try a different pump but the same thing happened.
I hope this is a one off problem. Can anyone advise what causes it and how to fix it?
Thanks in advance.
