180+ days money held and no response from PP

Hello,

 

I am writing here because i had 0 response from paypal support via contact form / their phone lines are closed and i have no other way to resolve.

 

Last year in october my account got suddenly limited with the message ( you cannot use paypal anymore and there is no way to appeal ), while this looked strange to me as i operate a legitimate business i did not attempt to contact paypal regading that because the message clearly said ( no appeal ).

I decided to wait 180 days to get the money they locked in the account and just use other payment forms for my business, however after more than 180 days passed i contacted paypal via their webform and have not recived an answer since.

What do i have to do in order to recover my money that are locked in the account ?

@riosif 

 

Think they are a tad inundated at the moment due to working with reduced staffing levels and mostly in their homes i presume.

Your best bet is to wait until the phones lines are operational again and then speak to an agent to see why you have not had an email allowing the withdrawal of your held funds.

Unfortunately still no contact from any official paypal employee in order to resolve my problem, waiting indefinetly is not a solution.

 

After many attempts to contact paypal without success i think best chance to get my money back would be to hire some lawyer.

Sounds a plan if the money you would spend on a lawyer is less than what is in your paypal account.

My case remains unresolved still after contacting paypal.

The responses are so generic that make no sense.

 

Example , i got this response more than a month ago. 

Thank you for contacting PayPal regarding your funds release request.

Iosif, thank you for your email. I can now confirm that your request is now escalated for review to the relevant department. You will receive further communication from PayPal in the following up to 14 business days.

 

After which i followed up with the following.

 

I've been waiting for more than 7 months.

Please follow-up with your relevant department in order to expedite a resolution on my case because it's beyound reasonabe waiting time.

Does this make any sense to any of you that my money has been stuck since october 18'th 2019 and the's no clear answer to the case? nobody seems to care or abusing the covid-19 crisis in order to generate more delays on releasing funds.

Money have not yet been released since october 2019 and i've not sued paypal however im running out of options.

All the message center answers say to wait 5 days / 7 days / 10 days, each time saying i would be contacted by someone from paypal via email, but this hasnt happend.

It's 1 year and half since funds are beeing keept , no details on why my business account has been blocked were provided.

 

How can paypal operate like this? What can i do to resolve this besides going to european BBB's variant or lawsuit ? The amount would not cover lawsuit costs and hassle and i think that's what they count on.

 

Im going to post the entire conversation/support so that everybody can see, replaced sensitive data in multiple posts as the size of post is max 20k chars.

This is a never ending loop and it's been going on for 10 months now.

I need an official reason on why the money are beeing held over 180 days period and no clear answer has been ever given in regards to the funds you're holding.

 


Earlyer in this conversation with a different staff member i was instructed to provide proof of ID as if i havent allready done that previously.

Is there any other way to recover my money from paypal besides lawsuit ?

Another week passed and i have no clear information of what is happening with my funds or why this process is taking this much time.

I need a resolution to my case as days are going by and my funds are locked.

I allready had great loss due to the fact that account got locked in october 18'th 2019 without giving me any information/reason on the lockdown of my funds and no possibility to appeal that.

I'm have the same issues. I got the email says I can remove my funds now and it will not let me get a check. Will not let me add a debit card to my account to send the funds and will not let me add a bank they locked ² accounts both have $39.67-$39.96 and the 180 days is up no way to contact supposed to be Support. I think what needs to happen is everyone having this issue need to sing a class action lawsuit and sue this company! They think it's a joke. We need to show them it's not.
