ART NICE TRADING LIMITED scam

Hey everyone, 

I purchased a life sized wooden playground for my kids from ART NICE TRADING LIMITED.  It ended up being about $50 CAD with shipping, which still seemed like a good deal and I figured if it was a scam PayPal would protect me.  The company ended up sending a knock off 4" by 4" lego set (see pics).  When I contacted the company they said they could give me a 50% refund or I can ship this item back at my own expense, which they claimed is tedious and time consuming, and that if the product arrived damaged they would give no refund (I'm assuming they just claim things are damaged when they arrive because buyers have no way to monitor the item when it's shipped back).  I obviously said thanks but no thanks, i'll contact PayPal.  I thought PayPal was like a credit card or amazon, supporting the customer in what is very clearly a scam.  PayPal contacted the company and offered the same 50% refund.  I said no.  They then offered the 100% but I would have to ship the crap they sent me back at my expense and wait however long it takes to arrive in China.  I have no ability to speak with anyone from PayPal to discuss this or point out how clearly this is a scam and **bleep** that buyers are dealing with this.  I don't know what to do now.  I'm willing to ship the item back, at the sellers expense, but the resolution offered by PayPal does not allow for this or for any sort of discussion.  I'm really disappointed in PayPal and thought they protected buyers more than this.

I had the exact same thing happen to me. I took photos of everything and posted it back to the address provided. The item was returned with a large sticker on saying 'refused'. PayPal went in the seller's favour ! So I disputed it and sent all the evidence again. I even provided a link to reviews of the company saying similar things had happened again and that it was a scam. PayPal do need to be aware of this scam and do something about it. They have now gone in my favour thankfully but it was frustrating.

I'm afraid you won't get it. You'll get a parcel with the same tracking number but for a small cheap item. Make sure you take photos of the parcel, tracking number on it, any correspondence then when they ask for it back, take photos of it going into the packaging, all the posting details etc. Make sure you continually speak to PayPal throughout. Send them a link to reviews on Trust Pilot about the company to show how it has happened to others too. They really need to stop allowing payments to this fraudulent company!
