Account limited: Provide purchase receipt from your supplier. Not a Seller and Never Sold an Item.

My Paypal Account is limited asking to "Provide purchase receipt from your supplier." Also asking for my photo ID (I've submitted it before just did again). I’ve never sold an item on Ebay or anywhere on the internet. Nor have I ever used Paypal to sell items. I only use it to purchase stuff off Ebay or other online vendors. My account has been active for 13 years with no problems. I submitted a letter in PDF format explaining that I can not provide receipts from suppliers as I simply do not sell items and never have sold items.

Me, just now. Says there has been a significant increase in activity on my account. There hasn't and I am not a seller either

Same here. No changes in activity, and I am not even a seller now. I received the PayPal email notification within a couple of minutes after an email from PayPal about a regular authorized payment I made. PayPal seems internally broken or hacked.

Same happened to me last night, I bought something and had the message instantly. I'm not a seller either and don't have a supplier.

Yes happened to me this morning....going around in circles...what’s with...You need to provide a receipt of your purchase or original receipts from your supplier for the items you sell to your buyers. These receipts should mention your purchase or procurement of items....I’m trying to buy NOT SELL

I am so angry about this. There was an increase on my account because I'm in a financially tight spot and needed donations and now I can't even access them! 3pm PT when it happened, I didn't even get an alert until after I interacted with my account. I called yesterday when it happened and was on hold, until it auto ended the call at 6pm despite a 2 and a half hour wait. I didn't know what to upload for the seller thing, so I submitted a picture of my plea for donations, which seems silly. The letter idea was smart. It didnt even occur to me that it might be a risky scam or hack when I thought it was just me. Now I'm in a mess cause I'm locked out of the money I seriously need. I'm on the phone now, since they opened, still on hold. I'm hoping I can get through and resolve this fast.
