Hi, Everyone hope your all doing well.  I have been buying from eBay for years. i have also done a little selling in the past on eBay and all worked out well for myself and the my buyers, expect one occasion. I had to have PayPal step in the get me a refund on defective item i once purchased. that was a full refund for me via PayPal dispute where i returned the item to the seller. all good in the end.

As i said i have been buying from eBay for 15 years and never had any problems except for that one time i just mentioned.

i  recently thought i would give a go at buying from AliExpress with the option of using PayPal for payments.  my first item i  ever bought from AliExpress just know was £600 item shipping from china with free shipping. sellers shop page said item time for packaging and readying for shipping would be 3 days. shipping time 15 days to UK. everything looked good and i paid with PayPal.  i thought what could wrong since i paid with PayPal.

Before payment, sellers page said full cost £600 with free shipping to UK from China. after my payment completed, sellers page changed to no shipping to UK. seller sent me a message saying we can not deliver item to UK. seller said because we are out of stock of item and because of Brexit we can not send item to UK.  I checked seller webpage it has 99  of the items available for purchase.  i messaged seller to ship my item or give me a refund if he can not send item to me.  seller replied to me saying that buyer can open dispute with AliExpress to receive a refund from seller.

i have no experience with AliExpress so i thought  i shall play it safe and open dispute with PayPal to get a refund. i told PayPal seller wont refund item and wont pass over the item to a courier for shipping to UK.

currently there is a tracking number given and item is marked in tracking system as item ready for dispatch but seller has told me he wont dispatch and wont refund me on the item without me opening a AliExpress dispute. seems to me its a simple open and shut case for the seller to issue me with a refund. cant ship it to me why hold on to the money?

is this seller up to trickery in some way. am i about to be scammed by this AliExpress seller somehow someway?  I don't understand why he wont just give me a refund without making me fight for it as he suggested in an AliExpress dispute.  i ignored his request and opened a PayPal dispute instead! just doesn't fit right i feel he is up to something. Maybe I'm wrong but it seems that way!

any feed back given is received with appreciation.
