Anyone Else Have A Similar Zestads Limited Experience Concerning TP360 Tactical Flashlights?

* See awesome flashlights on video ad that were misrepresentations of TP360 flashlights, presented via FB in my case. (I got a copy of this video)
* Buy TP360 flashlights via PayPal
* Receive tiny, junk TP360 flashlights that look and perform much different and inferior to what was advertised when compared with video stills
* Filed a dispute with PayPal for bait and switch scam and they told me to contact the criminals that willfully committed fraud as if getting cooperation from crooks was a normal expectation
* I heavily document my claims in an eMail to Zestads Limited showing the difference in the video stills and the delivered product, making it clear that I received merchandise that differed from what was advertised. The size, shape, model markings, features and performance are different.
* Zestads Limited tells me to send a video of it not working although their return policy says that the item must be unused for them to honor a refund so they are telling you to document use of it, send it to them, and then they can use that video to show that you used the product and violated the terms of the return policy.
* Zestads Limited then replies that I did not provide evidence of a broken product which makes me ineligible for a refund although that was never the basis of my complaint. At the same time they are telling me via PayPal dispute communications that they would refund my money if I shipped the product back to Hong Kong.
* I do research and figure out that the video ad had footage that was stolen from other flashlight makers. I contact them to inform them of this.
* I realize that I have evidence of stolen ads, false advertising and even a safety complaint (no electrical specs for recharging available anywhere) and make filing complaints against the criminal enterprise, Zestads Limited, my new temporary hobby.

Hi Cribooky!
I fought with ZestAds,Ltd... with more "aggression" than you, if you will. They tried to pull the BS refund policy with me by telling me to do 3 things in order to "BE ALLOWED" for a refund!! Imagine that!! Here was what they wanted:
<<1. A photo of the package with clear tracking number and other details.
<<2. A photo of all items that you want to return.
<<3. Reason for return with strong proof (video).
Clearly, they just made up their refund policies however they wanted with each victimed customers!! Seem different from yours. But I met all the 3 requirements, including the damn video, whoever asked for "strong proof with VIDEO" in order to refund?!?!! Not in this country.
I just usee the warning video that someone already posted on YouTube and attached that to this scammer/seller and to PayPal Escalation as well. And luckily, I kept everything that came with the junk flashlights, the package, everything with tracking # on it... the whole thing.
Anyway, I threatened to call FBI Fraud unit and the Orange County (CA) -AG office because that's where they drop-shipping facility is operates out off (Fullerton, CA).... After 2 emails from them and filing problem with PayPal, then escalated the case, this scum scammer/seller decided to refund me in full, all $52.90 of it (included the shipping charge), via PayPal... which confirmed that my case is resolved and now "case closed"!! I already got my money back in my bank acct. The funny thing is... these morons didn't even bother to tell me where to send their junk flashlights back!! They didn't even want them!! Bec I told them also that don't even try to BS me about "sending them back to Hong Kong"... bec the pkg was sent out of CA... and that's as far as I'm going to send these POS back. I told PayPal that stipulation was clearly designed to discourage anyone who's trying to persue the case for the refund. They're banking on the fact that the victimized customers would have to pay much higher cost than the cost of the flashlights to Hong Kong, and would just give up the persue, hence they would get away with it. Not me! So, DON'T even tell them that you used the flashlight, although that shouldn't make any difference, IMO... we have to test them if they work or not, that's how we found out that their flashlight is nothing but a knock-off junk imitation of the real TP-360.
Most complaints about this scam I'd read, said the same thing about PayPal didn't back them up even as their customers, and about the "Hong Kong" stunt.... You might want to read more about this on another thread under the same topic on this community, there're more posts on the subject than this one here.

I have filed a complaint with my credit card company to get my refund. I am keeping the lights, packaging, correspondence, video ad, and stolen video ad of the original product as evidence. I did not just threaten to file reports. I actually filed the reports with the FBI, FTC, Texas AG and CPA. None of them have contacted me yet other than to say that they received my reports. This was a willful bait and switch fraud, and I will do my best to shut them down.

Hello Cribbooky,
Good for you! Good thta filed with FBI already. I told them I was going to "next Monday" when I contacted the scam seller on that weekend... they hurried and refunded me before I got to do it. 😁😁 I did not have good result with FTC though, actually talked to someone there in person, he actually recommended contacting FBI Fraud Unit, said FTC couldn't do anything since sounded like these scammers are not in USA. I saw that you mentioned Texas-AG, how about CA-Orange County AG? Since their warehouse or drop-shipping is out of Fullerton, CA? Here's the Orange County (CA) - DA office #[Removed. Phone #s not permitted]
and Fullerton (CA) AG-Office[Removed. Phone #s not permitted](Xavier Becarra)
I'm with you there. I'm not nice and switch to "combat mode" when cheated, scammed, lied to. I'm surprised that othet people are disappointed and complaint that PayPal itself would not assist them on their behave to get the refund back even though PayPal was the money exchanger in all of this mess. At least PayPal should read this community from time to time and put a ban on this seller, or put up a warning on such sellers when there are so many legit complaints here. I hope you'll get your money back soon. Good Luck.
