Bought an item through Depop but seller gave me the wrong tracking number

I bought an iPhone X through Depop on Monday 7th for £180 as he brought it down from the original price which was £230 I believe. As I bought it through Depop I thought that he wasn’t going to scam me, as most scammers would ask through friends and family. He said that he would post my item by 6pm on the 7th, and after asking for updates he did not respond after 6pm. I then opened a dispute with PayPal as I clearly knew that he had no intention of giving me a tracking number or proof of postage. He gave me a tracking number this morning but when I typed the tracking number into the Royal Mail app, it states that he posted this item on Saturday 5th, when I bought the item on the 7th? Will be able to get a full refund as I have screenshots of all our messages on Depop, PayPal dispute and the tracking number stating when it was posted and the fact that it is leaving the UK when I live in the UK. I am scared that once that tracking number says delivered, PayPal will believe that I have received the item when I haven’t and get away with my £180
