PP-007-491-402-906 You know how the story goes, as it seems this is very common. I sold an item (iPhone 7 Plus) on eBay. Buyer paid for item (£293) I sent it, tracked delivery. After a week the buyer raised dispute on eBay saying the phone was faulty (it was not) tried to help buyer, he ignored me. eBay favoured in buyers case as long as he returned item to me. I fought and fought it when he did not return it to me. Eventually eBay see sense after I screenshot another seller review who he has scammed previously. The buyer was removed from eBay and case closed right?!? Wrong- buyer then decided to play the same game through PayPal. Said the phone was faulty (it was definitely not), PayPal sided with buyer on the condition he returns the phone to me. Here we go again... Buyer provided a tracking ID for Royal Mail. After a week or so I check the status, it says it attempted delivery but no answer! Well it certainly wasn’t attempted to my home address, I received no missed delivery card. Anyway, long story short the other day I received confirmation that PayPal had now closed the dispute in buyers favour!?!? It says this is because it has proof the item has been delivered!! I check Royal Mail website... the current status is “returned to sender- it has been sent to national returns centre to determine senders details” Definitely not delivered! 100% not delivered, no attempt of delivery to me. But PayPal have REFUNDED the buyer money from my PayPal account (£293) I appealed the decision, sent screen shots of Royal Mail website (the tracking ID is SE082560565GB- go ahead and check) They “replied” to my appeal to say they had closed in favour of buyer as they had proof of delivery?!??? I have appealed again but I have seriously started to suspect that disputes and appeals are all handled robotically, no one human actually bothers to check, so much for seller protection hey? My questions are... 1) does anyone human actually bother checking? Will anyone actually check the Royal Mail for the correct status? 2) where can I go from here? I am at wits end, this is all so stressful. eBay seen through the scammer, why haven’t PayPal? I have sent SO much evidence that this guy is clearly a Fraud and he has STOLEN from me. Why is no one helping me??

In paypals eyes the buyer had done all that was asked of them ie sent the item back to your trackable and tracking shows attempted delivery.
The fact you weren't in or didn't contact royal mail to rearrange delivery when tracking showed it was being returned is sadly your problem (even if not caused by you) and not the buyers.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.
