Counterfeit Goods. PayPal insisting that I break the law.

I purchased around £300 worth of goods I later found out to be all counterfeit except for one item. I requested a refund for the items, excluding the single item which was genuine. I’ve provided evidence that the items in question are indeed counterfeit, and the seller has not contested this fact. I’ve also provided proof that the seller is still knowingly selling counterfeit products online. I have received professional advice not to return these items to the seller under any circumstances as in all likelihood they will be resold. By British law all fake products are required to be destroyed. It is also illegal to send said products in the mail, at the point of postage parcel senders are always asked if they are sending prohibited items. The seller has been given weeks to respond to the cases, and has taken weeks to do so whilst I have literally just been allowed days, with the only option open to me to add a tracking number. I am going around in circles and getting nowhere quickly communicating with PayPal agents with just literally just hours to go before the cases are closed. I need urgent Help or advice on what to do here! I don’t wish to break the law or return this items to be resold to another innocent buyer.... but PayPal Are leaving me no other choice, as they seem to be quite content to flout my consumer rights and condone, support and even reward this sellers illegal activity!!! The last agent with which I spoke deliberately tried to misrepresent the law in his response to me, and used the words “alleged counterfeits” to try to justify the returns policy being cited to me. The whole situation, responses and process is Infuriating!!!

Incidentally, the vendor in question in a UK seller, not Chinese or otherwise, and had a strong Selling presence on the marketplace. I had no reason to suspect they were involved in selling fake goods, and there was no mention whatsoever of counterfeit, fake or copies in any of their listings.

Well, the case was immediately closed In the sellers favour after I informed PayPal that i had been in touch with Royal Mail to ask about their regulations for posting counterfeit goods. I was informed the posting of all counterfeit material & goods was prohibited under section 5, they would refuse to accept the package & are also obliged by law to contact the police, as I would legally be supplying illegal Media for resale by returning any counterfeit items. This information was given to PayPal, my cases were immediately closed in favour of the criminal seller. Something is very, very, very wrong here!!! I’m exploring what other options are left open to me. Any input/advice will be greatly appreciated!
