Is there any possible way to decline an invoice that someone has sent you and/or block them from sending you reminders?
A little background on this - I had rented a mobile device for travel from a company back in early 2016 and paid for the rental through PayPal. It was a smaller online service that looking back on I probably shouldn't have trusted given the general shadiness of the website and other consumer complaints. When I returned to the US I returned the item via the prepaid shipping label they'd sent me, and roughly three weeks later I received an invoice stating the item was returned damaged / non functioning, though they refused to show me any evidence that this was the case. I refused to pay the invoice without any further information.
For the three full years since then, this company has continued to send me invoice reminders on this transaction - anywhere from 2 to 8 reminders each and every day. Because these are official e-mails sent by PayPal itself there is no way for me to filter them as spam without blocking PayPal from being able to e-mail me in other situations such as my purchase receipts.
PayPal has buyer protection on most any transaction made but I find it strange that there's no way to refuse or decline an invoice that I can find - it just sits on my PayPal summary day after day all while the company sends me repeated and unavoidable e-mails through an official PayPal channel with no resolution process available, effectively trying to annoy me into paying them $200 I don't believe I owe in the first place.
Is there anything that can be done in this situation or do I just have to deal with it?

Please contact customer service for assistance:
Click HELP at the top menu, scroll down to click CONTACT US, and then scroll down to click CALL US.
Say "Live Agent" to the automated recording.
if they can't do anything about it: Create a new email address/account, add it to your PayPal account, confirm it, make the new email address your new primary email address, then remove the old email address, switch anything related to this email address over to your new email address and then total close that email account down.
Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂
