I ordered an item for £50 off Depop and then received an email (following payment) that the sellers account was deleted. I filed for refund on PayPal and was told for a week that the refund was 'pending'. I then filed for a dispute on PayPal which is apparently 'under review'. The refund has now been cancelled and I cannot make the dispute into a claim. Any help would be appreciated, as I have now been scammed out of £50!
So you requested a refund from the seller, seller issues a refund but it cancels, meaning the seller's pp balance and bank is fresh out of money and so this blocks the claim essentially because technically a refund had been issued. The seller has no money to refund.
If you paid with credit card, I suggest you dispute it with them.
If paypal found in your favour after you won a dispute/claim then contact them and state the refund that was issued failed.
Click on the words "Help / Contact" at the bottom of paypals pages and use the phone option in the blue band at the top OR very bottom of page dependent on what country you are in. Scroll down past the list of help questions and click on 'Call us' bottom of that page. Log in and get the code. OR have you considered contacting Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter?
