Feedback on escalating a ticket

Hi all, I've just escalated an issue i have with a seller to PayPal. I did not receive a confirmation e-mail about this and the ticket is not updated in any way. It's important for me to be sure this is handled well because the ticket will be closed in a few days. Does any of you have experience with this? Daniel
