Hello all,
I ordered a electric bicycle on Banggood.com for €766,-. When unpacking the box I discovered that the bicycleis damged. Not only scratches on the frame but also the computer is damaged and does not function. I opened a discpute which I later escalted into a claim .
Now the seller wants me to send the bicycle back to Hongkong but did not mention anything about the transportation costs. I checked with DHL worldwide and the transportation costs from the Netherlands to Hongkong are about €1063,-.
Nothing is mentioned about how I need to send this back and who pays for the transportation costs.
I need to send it back before 22 May and there is no button in the claim area where I can ask more questions. There is only a button there where I can upload tracking information.
How to deal with this?

As per Buyer Protection:
”IMPORTANT: You may be required to return the item to the seller or other party we specify as part of the settlement of your claim. PayPal Buyer Protection does not entitle you to reimbursement for the return shipping costs that you may incur.”
https://www.paypal.com/nl/webapps/mpp/ua/useragreement-full?locale.x=en_NL#buyer-protection
PayPal has return shipping reimbursement program for Netherlands users:
https://www.paypal.com/nl/webapps/mpp/refunded-returns
It covers up to € 30 though.
If you fail to return item, you’ll lose the dispute. If you paid with credit card, that may be a better option to dispute.
Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂

Thanks for the reply,
I paid with a Visa credit card to Paypall. Does the credit card insurance still cover it if you have paid via Paypall?
Do you recommend me to mention that I received it as a DOA or can I better tell the company I accidentally destroyed it by myself? If the credit card insurance also only covers the purchase amount but not the transportation costs it does not help me.
