Hi All,
I saw a face book ad for a lovely intricate multi-part metal light saber (I have since seen the same ad under many different companies) for $34.99. I ordered through Paypal because the have "buyer" protection. What actually arrived was a two piece molded plastic, 1.99 kids toy.
Contacting the seller returned bounced undeliverable and so I lodged a complaint with the resolution center which came back and said I need to ship the POS they sent back to Hong Kong with a tracking number (that's $15).
Is there no way that PP has automated checks on suppliers where many products are being returned? It seems silly there is no way to prevent this and quite frankly the scammers have won because it's not worth my time for the difference (34.99-15) to mail the fraudulent item back.
When I have had similar issues on Amazon, they are on their customer's side - paypal seems to be with the scammers.
Here is the exact same video used to sell the item (this is from a different seller/scammer):
(looks like i can 't use certain sites videos. If you know google's short URL, add this to it: S8zSdR
Just in case that doesn't work, there are photos of the vid and a photo of what was delivered below. I'll leave you to guess which two are from the video.....
What say you Paypal people?

Hi Gappy, how did you get your money back ? After my complain Pay Pal told me to send it back from Germany to Hong Kong, which would cost too much aniway. Pay Pal did not even know that since 1970 Chinese have a privilege because of supporting them, to send items ceaper than dealers in Germany to Germans. And now they dont care about this Lightsaber-Trash-Scam.

Had the same problem from Italy. I also had to pay money for import and now PayPal said that I have to send back this junk to obtain a refund...
So I have to spend other money to have a refund... Incredible!

Strange, Italy is a member of the European Union. In the netherlands you don’t have to pay for import from China if the prize is less then 150 euro.did you put a claim by Paypal.

BTW Just to add, I didn't bother returning the item and following through with the claim as it's not worth my time but Paypal shouldn't be forcing the return of the items. My "claim" PP-007-127-158-006 has expired.
This already has 25 other "Me toos" on it showing it's clearly fraudulent. Paypal should be refunding directly and if the fraudulent merchant wants their children's toys back, they should be arranging shipping themselves. I get better protection from my credit cards than I do Paypal and will not be using this service again.

I also bought the crappy knock off but from Yin <removed> according to paypal. He only got #30 from me. Decided not to pursue it as not worth my time. I will use my time for things I enjoy.
As for the POS light saber, I cut off the small speaker that sounded like a jackass. It will still make a cool toy for my 3 year old grandson.
